I am sure of the fact that evil is prevalent in our world. I see it in obvious ways around me each day, yet there are subtle ways where it shows up as well. Take breakfast for example - at least I hope you are taking it as it truly is the most important meal of the day. Strangely enough I often hear people say they are skipping breakfast because they want to lose weight.

I heard a troubling stat on the radio on the way into work yesterday. It was a stat which stated that the percentage of stay-at home moms from immigrant families was much higher than it was for American born families.

An article in this week's Newsweek really got me thinking. The article is titled "We are all Hindus Now" and it has some very interesting stats that should have all of us who are Christians thinking. In the article it mentions a recent Pew Poll done in 2008 that states that 76% of Americans identify themselves as Christians, yet strangely enough 65% of Americans also believe there are many ways to God and that Jesus is just one of many paths.

Often we get caught up in the events of our lives and forget to keep things in perspective. God is in control and the better we grasp that, the more we can understand.
